Hi I'm Elizabeth! I was born in Nashville, TN. I mostly was raised in Nashville with the exception of a short 4 years in Fort Worth, TX. Although I have lived here for over 15 years, Nashville will always be home to me. I love all kinds of music! So growing up in a city that is alive with it everywhere you go makes my heart happy! After high school I moved to Chattanooga to attend the University of TN at Chattanooga for my freshman year of college. I decided I wanted a career in the dental field, so I transferred to Chattanooga State for their dental assisting program. I became a registered dental assistant in May of 2004. I met my husband shortly after moving here in 2001 and we married in 2008. We have been blessed with two beautiful kids, Nathan(7 years) and Ella(15months).
Hi, my name is Rachel McClellan. I was born in Jackson, TN and grew up in several locations across the states of TN, GA, and SC. Where I’m from, Tea is usually proceeded by the word Sweet, summertime is all about being outdoors, and someone’s heart is always being blessed. What can I say, I’m a southerner!
My parents were both college athletes. After graduating from high school in Spartanburg, SC, I accepted a volleyball scholarship to the University of Illinois. For the Fighting Illini, I was an all Big-Ten performer and earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications.
After college I spent several years, playing professional indoor volleyball in Puerto Rico, Spain, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and South Korea. All of that travel made me miss home. My boyfriend, at the time, had relocated to Chicago. When I returned to the United States we settled down, got married, and had a family. We lived in Chicago for 9 years, and boy did I miss The South. I’d slip away whenever possible to soak up my Mother’s good food and company. In the last few years, I was blessed to become a proud mother to two wonderful little girls. Adelynn is 4 yrs. old and Avery Kate is 2. Immediately after Adelynn was born, and because I was among the first of my friends to have children, I began seeking out a new set of Mom friends. I happened upon Stroller Strides, went to a class, and was instantly hooked. I became an instructor and knew at that moment that I had found my tribe. By the time Avery Kate was born, in November 2014, I knew I wanted to open a franchise. 8 weeks later my Mother and best friend, Dianna, passed away unexpectedly. She was 55 years old. There isn’t a day that goes by, that I don’t wish I could call her.
Shortly thereafter, my husband took a new job that gave us the option of relocating anywhere in the Southeast. In less than 5 minutes, I knew that I wanted to go back to Chattanooga, TN. Some of my best years growing up were here in this town. I’m fortunate to have a few friends, from back then, that I’m still close with today. Additionally, this town is consistently ranked as one of the best outdoor cities in the United States, and is one of The South’s hidden gems. I can’t think of a better way to begin my new chapter than launching a Fit4Mom franchise in Chattanooga. This company created the community, which has changed the trajectory of my life. My hope is that I can facilitate something that will do for another Mom, what FIT4MOM has done for me.more
Hi I'm Whitney Sink! I am originally from Lubbock, Texas but moved to Georgia when I was 8 years old. I graduated from Ringgold High School in 2005. I attended Kennesaw State University my freshman year but moved out to Utah my Sophomore year. I attended BYU and was married to Ryan Sink. We moved back to the Chattanooga area and I finished my Bachelor's degree in Marketing at Dalton State College in 2010.
We are the parents to Emaline (7), Bennett (2), and Nala (8, our fur baby). We love to travel as a family and have been able to visit some amazing places. We enjoy being outdoors and summer is our favorite season. You can find us at the pool 90% of the time. I love trying new, healthy recipes mixed with some sweet treats although my baking skills are lacking. I love fitness and trying new activities that keep my body strong.
When I first heard about Stroller Strides I was eager to try it out. I had never heard of the program. It's been a great way to stay active while involving my children. Bennett sings the songs from class throughout the day and I'll find him doing squats and other exercises. Not only is it adorable but it makes my heart swell knowing that he's watching my good habits and will hopefully always value good health. It is so rewarding watching moms come together to bond over fitness, motherhood and all that it entails, and build a village they can rely on during this phase of life.more
